3K Summer Giveaway Official Rules


From June 2, 2025 – August 21, 2025 listen each Monday – Thursday for the week’s 3k Summer Giveaway keyword to text to any station’s studio number (WASK-FM 765-447-5058; WKHY-FM 765-447-7625; WKOA-FM 765-448-6565; WXXB-FM 765-448-1029).  On Fridays between 8am-10am, we’ll randomly draw one winner from that week’s combined pool of entries from WASK-FM, WKHY-FM, WKOA-FM AND WXXB-FM of a $250 Visa gift card. (Note: The winner for the week of June 30th we’ll be drawn on Monday, July 7th due to July 4th falling on a Friday.) Text & data rates may apply.  Listeners from all stations listed will be competing for the same prize each week.  Listeners can only enter once per week, regardless of station. (Example: Listener texts the week’s 3k Summer Giveaway keyword to WKOA-FM number 765-448-6565 .  They are entered for the week and cannot enter again that week by texting the other stations’ numbers.)

Each winner will be awarded 1-$250 Visa gift card. The winner’s reaction will be recorded for broadcast after receiving the winner’s permission to record and broadcast the conversation.  There will be 12 winners, for a total of $3,000 in Visa gift cards given away. We will make reasonable efforts to award Prizes within 30 days after winning. The winner will be notified by phone when the Visa gift card is ready for pick up at the station.

WASK-FM, WKHY-FM, WKOA-FM, WXXB-FM contests are open to all eligible Lafayette, Indiana Residents who live or work within 75 miles of our transmitter 18 or older who have not won anything on WASK-FM, WKHY-FM, WKOA-FM or WXXB-FM in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted to win during the duration of the 3k Summer Giveaway. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named.

Any caller submitted on behalf of another individual or using another person’s phone number or name will be disqualified and ineligible to claim any prize.  Any attempt by any participant to obtain more than the stated number of prizes allowed by using same, multiple/different phone numbers, identities, or any other methods void that participant’s prize and that participant may be disqualified. In the event of a dispute as to the authorized account holder of the phone number used to win will be deemed to be the registrant and he/she must be eligible according to these Official Rules. No mechanically reproduced or automated entries permitted.  Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification and all such entries will be deemed void.

Employees of WASK-FM, WKHY-FM, WKOA-FM, WXXB-FM, Lafayette Media Group, and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one-hundred-mile radius of WASK-FM, WKHY-FM, WKOA-FM, WXXB-FM main studio are not eligible to win any contest.  Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian.

No purchase necessary. WASK-FM, WKHY-FM, WKOA-FM, WXXB-FM sole responsibility will be to award the prize. WASK-FM, WKHY-FM, WKOA-FM, WXXB-FM will have no further responsibility in connection with the prize if the prize winner, for any reason, cannot or decides not to use any of the prizes. Winners will be responsible for all federal and state taxes, and any fees and incidentals. Prizes are not transferrable or redeemable for cash.
